Talk to the people who build Leed.

Newsrooms get a walkthrough on their own kind of tips. Sources never need to email us: the tip form is safer.

01 / Newsrooms

Set up a call

Newsroom accounts open by invitation, not a sign-up form. Write with your newsroom, the beats you cover, and roughly how many tips arrive each week. We’ll set up a call, walk through intake, the brief, and the board on examples like yours, and open your workspace from there.

Bring your archive. If your newsroom has years of past tips and documents, say so when you write. We’ll bring them into Leed with you during setup, so Sherlock can connect new tips to old ones from day one. Archived tips get the same protection as new ones: who sent them stays visible only to your verified reporters.

02 / Sources

Have a story? Don’t email it.

Tips reach Leed through a newsroom. Use the tip link on that newsroom’s own site: it asks one question at a time, needs no account, and gives you a private receipt where you decide whether any reporter can reach you.

03 / Security

Report a vulnerability

Found a way to read a lead, a cluster, or a source’s identity without permission? Tell us before anyone else. Include steps to reproduce; please don’t access real sources’ data to prove it.

04 / Privacy

Correction, export, or deletion

Sources can delete their own lead from their receipt. For anything else, write with the tip link or enough context to find the record.
